You will work closely with teachers to help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The role will include supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and make positive progress. Your responsibilities will include: support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the primary curriculum work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and build confidence provide additional support for pupils with SEND, adapting activities where appropriate to enable full participation in learning support the implementation of teacher-led strategies and interventions to help pupils achieve their learning goals promote positive behaviour and encourage independence, resilience, and self-esteem assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials monitor pupil engagement and progress, sharing observations with the class teacher support pupils during break times, educational visits, and extracurricular activities contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment assist with classroom organisation, displays, and administrative tasks. Skills required: Experience working with primary-aged children. An understanding of how to support children with a range of learning needs, including SEND. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A patient, caring, and supportive approach. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. Flexible and adaptable in supporting the varying needs of children.
