With a range of leading clients across most UK universities, hospitals and biomedical research facilities, they are hugely customer centric and are experiencing significant growth. They are now looking for a Logistics Team Leader to be based five days per week, Monday-Friday from their Northants DC and offices.
The Logistics Team Leader oversees daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring products are received, stored and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for coordinating a small team, optimising workflow and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity. Support the Operations & IT Manager in making key departmental decisions & delivering strategic improvements across a small warehouse operation.
Logistics Team Leader - Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate logistics team members to achieve operational goals
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Project Management teams
- Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, and productivity rates
