A well-established and reputable accountancy practice in Hereford is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to join its growing team. As a Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will take charge of a varied client portfolio, delivering high-quality year-end accounts, tax compliance, and business advisory services. This role is well-suited to someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
* Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
* Completion of corporation tax and personal tax returns
* Reviewing and mentoring junior team members
* Managing and developing long-standing client relationships
* Liaising with HMRC and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
* Contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the firm
The Ideal Senior Accountant Will Have:
* ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
* Previous experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within a practice setting
* Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
