Are you an internationally trained healthcare professional or graduate looking to start or progress your career in the NHS? We have an exciting volunteering opportunity that will help you gain the vital NHS experience that we know you need to progress your career, build confidence and make a real difference to patients' lives.
You'll support people with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's Disease and Stroke, helping them regain confidence, re-connect with their interests, and work towards independence. Each patient will be introduced alongside a clinician at your first visit, and you'll continue to support them for six weeks. After each session, you'll write brief notes and share any concerns with your supervisor. Full training will be provided.
As part of this programme, you'll also receive guidance, mentoring and employability support from the Volunteering Services Specialist Physiotherapist, with opportunities for tailored acute hospital placements to help you achieve your NHS career goals.
If you are enthusiastic, compassionate, and keen to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
