Job Title: Mech Estimator / Cost Engineer
Location: Bristol
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Cost Engineering
1. Complete mechanical estimating for projects and workshop fabrication work from enquiry through to tender submission and project handover
2. Carry out detailed take-offs from mechanical drawings and specifications (essential)
3. Build and maintain labour and material costs using estimating software in line with company standards
4. Develop comprehensive cost build-ups including:
* Workshop and site labour
* Materials, pipework, fittings and consumables
* Plant, equipment and logistics
* Subcontractors and specialist services
* Overheads and margins
5. Review tender documentation to ensure full scope clarity, identifying risks, exclusions, assumptions and commercial exposure
