About the Opportunity
The Performance Analyst is one of four roles within an Information Management Pod. This role acts as the conduit between business stakeholders, data architects, and technical delivery teams. The analyst is the key point of contact for the business, enabling communication at both a strategic and technical level, while providing data-driven insights that inform decision-making that guide future solutions.
The role requires individuals to combine a personable and engaging approach with a rigorous research and analysis methodology. They will possess a foundation in programming, allowing them to independently develop analytical outputs based on the organisation’s current data landscape. These insights will support the definition of business requirements and guide the architect in shaping enduring, scalable solutions that align with the stakeholder’s long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Use agile delivery methodologies by leveraging Azure DevOps to structure and manage user stories, tasks, dependencies, and issues, adjusting work practices to align with the team’s delivery framework.
2. Understand the high-level architecture and its alignment to key business objectives, ensuring data products are designed to monitor project safety, quality, time, and cost.
3. Analyse and understand a business problem or opportunity capturing the requirements with the requirements database.
4. Undertake research and analysis to understand how a business or business area works, considering the people, processes, information and systems in a form that can be consumed by Data Architects and Technical resources.
5. Identify gaps in people, processes, information and systems. Particularly focussing on data that would need to be collected and moved to the analytics platform.
6. Apply data analysis and data visualisation tools and techniques to draft a view of the viability of proposed Data Products.
7. Communicate data, insights and conclusions in appropriate formats.
8. Produce Investment Cases to produce Data Products to meet Stakeholder needs.
