Panel Beater / Panel MET Technician Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum team bonus ISQ Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading accident repair group to recruit an experienced Panel Beater / Panel MET Technician for their Southampton site. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and skilled repair professional to join a well-established bodyshop environment that values high standards, technical expertise, and teamwork. The Role As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry-approved repair methods. Working within a modern bodyshop facility, you will restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met. You will play a key role in maintaining repair integrity and supporting overall workshop performance. Key Responsibilities Carry out structural and cosmetic vehicle repairs to manufacturer specifications Perform panel replacement and repair work using approved methods Undertake welding, bonding, riveting, and high-strength steel repairs Complete repairs in line with ATA and insurance standards Ensure vehicles meet quality control requirements before handover Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment Collaborate with MET technicians, painters, and workshop management Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Panel MET Technician Motor manufacturer qualifications (preferred) Full UK driving licence Current AOM009 welding certificate or BS equivalent Training in MIG brazing, spot welding, rivet and bonding techniques High-strength and Boron steel repair knowledge Light MET qualification linked to ATA (desirable) Bonding certification (desirable) Strong understanding of manufacturer-approved repair methods What's on Offer £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary Team bonus structure 28 days holiday including bank holidays Healthcare Cash Plan (including gym and retail discounts) Employee Assistance Programme Celebration Day (additional day off for a meaningful personal occasion) Main Dealer Benefits This employer is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive working environment and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
