About the Employer Staff Today, a trusted recruitment agency based in Wolverhampton with over 25 years of experience, is working on behalf of a leading and expanding sheet metal and fabrication company in Telford. Our client is known for delivering high-quality metalwork solutions to a range of industries and is now seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team. About the Role The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Youll be responsible for inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes, while working closely with both customers and suppliers to maintain excellence. Key Duties & Responsibilities Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections. Use a range of measuring equipment including Vernier callipers, protractors, height gauges, and CMM/measuring arms. Read, interpret, and work from technical/engineering drawings. Produce and maintain PPAP documentation (control plans, PFMEAs, first article inspection reports, etc.). Conduct internal quality audits in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters. Analyse data and implement effective quality control and assurance processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate Requirements Mechanical engineering or quality background (sheet metal experience preferred). Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and auditing procedures. IT and PC literate. Experienced with precision measuring equipment. Proven track record in PPAP generation and quality assurance. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Confident communicator with customer/supplier-facing experience. Full UK driving licence required. Benefits Competitive salary: £30,000 £35,000 per year (depending on experience).
