Our client is currently seeking an experiencedSnowflake DBAfor a 6-month contract role startingASAP. This is ahybrid position, requiring partial on-site presence inNorwich, UK.
Role Overview:
As a Snowflake Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and securing Snowflake environments, optimizing performance, and ensuring governance and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain Snowflake accounts, database objects, and virtual warehouses
* Oversee data security, governance, and sharing via Snowflake Data Exchange & Marketplace
* Perform database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
* Handle disaster recovery, backups, and replication
* Utilize ANSI and Snowflake SQL
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong hands-on expertise withSnowflake,SQL, andAWS
* Provendatabase administrationexperience with a DB such as SQL Server, Exadata, Teradata etc.
* Familiarity with AWS services related to data and infrastructure
* Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing roles
Contract Details:
* Location:Hybrid (Norwich, UK)
* Duration:6 Months
* Start Date:ASAP (in the next 2-4 weeks)
* Rate:Competitive day rate inside IR35
