George Mackenzie House is the only NHS specialist provider of secure services in the area, offering a supportive and collaborative environment focused on patient-centred care. Our secure unit provides a safe and therapeutic setting for individuals with complex needs.
As a staff nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to implement personalized treatment plans, support patients holistically, and contribute to a therapeutic environment with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic, a positive can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, a sense of accountability, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure. A good sense of humour is also valued.

Main Duties of the Job
* Provide quality, evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care for service users with mental and physical health needs, along with their carers, within a multidisciplinary setting.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring compliance with local and national policies and legislation.
* Identify and contribute to the training needs of junior registered and unregistered staff.
* Ensure issues of equality, diversity, and rights are addressed in accordance with good practice and legislation.
* Maintain effective communication pathways and manage shifts in the absence of the Ward Manager or deputy.
