Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Onsite Tewkesbury About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team.
In this role, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of a large site by delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), conducting routine inspections, and responding promptly to reactive issues to minimize disruption.
Execute and support the PPM program for building systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, lighting).
Perform visual inspections, meter readings, sampling, and routine checks to maintain compliance and safety standards.
Respond quickly to facility breakdowns and emergencies to reduce downtime.
Support initiatives to improve energy, water, and waste efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for audits and compliance.
Assist with facility improvement projects, layout changes, and installations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician in industrial or commercial environments.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques with excellent fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Full UK driving licence.
Flexibility to work shifts (including nights/weekends) and respond to emergency call-outs.
Desirable Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in building trades, plumbing, or electrical.
Certifications such as Legionella (L8), F-Gas, PAT testing, 18th Edition, HVAC, or similar.
Health & Safety training and experience working at heights or in confined spaces.
Shifts are early lates and nights.
Work may involve exposure to high-voltage systems, heavy plant, and hazardous materialsstrict adherence to safety procedures is essential.
