Responsibilities
* Develop engaging content, design stimulating events, and support stakeholders by seeking out and curating thought-provoking information.
* Engage partners and communities to translate policy ambitions into practice as part of the Bristol One City approach.
* Work on systems and projects to deliver the Bristol One City Plan; hold regular City Gathering conferences to bring together hundreds of senior stakeholders; build an engaging programme of events; keep partners informed about work through social media, newsletters and webinars.
Role context
The City Office creates the conditions for key city partners from across public, private and voluntary sectors in Bristol to work together to support the overarching goal of a fairer, healthier and more sustainable city by 2050.
Policies and restrictions
This role is politically restricted in accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. This means you are prevented from having any active political role either in or outside the workplace. Politically restricted employees are disqualified from standing for or holding elected office, and these restrictions are incorporated as terms in the contract of employment under the regulations specified.
You are also prohibited from canvassing on behalf of a political party or a candidate and from speaking to the public at large or publishing any written or artistic work that could give the impression of advocating support for a political party.
