An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Connect service for a full time Connect Customer Advisor to join our Connect 24/7 emergency monitoring and response service.
You would become part of an ambitious team delivering an invaluable service to the residents of Middlesbrough.
Connect is a Middlesbrough Council service which delivers the Community Alarm services and Telecare services to people across Middlesbrough. We offer help and support to older, vulnerable, and disabled people to help them to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
You will provide a high standard of person-centred care when answering the calls on the Community Alarm system.
You will assess the service user's needs, offer support, guidance and advice and decide on the most appropriate action to be taken. This may include contacting the emergency services, a responder nominated or the Connect Response Officers.
We are looking for someone who is:
* Empathetic
* Patient
* Passionate about supporting vulnerable people
* Organised with excellent communication skills
* Technologically confident
In this role, good communication skills are vital, also responding with empathy is important as well as providing the reassurance the service user needs.
To be successful in this role you need:
* A Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
