IRT Account Manager
Remote or Hybrid office depending on location.
Annual salary: up to £45,000.00, with potential earnings up to £54,500 after a successful 6-month probation.
Mears Group PLC supports the UK’s carbon reduction goals. The IRT division provides thermal imaging technology services to support decarbonisation for social housing and private clients.
We seek an IRT Account Manager with strong new business development skills. This role offers an opportunity to build our capability to meet client and business needs, supporting our network across the UK.
The role’s purpose is to position IRT as a sector leader, promoting our capabilities, ambitions, and positive impacts toward NetZero.
The ideal candidate must have advanced new business development skills, be a persuasive salesperson, and excel in communication and relationship-building.
Role Criteria
* Support UK-wide sales and marketing activities for Thermal Imaging services.
* Initiate, cultivate, and maintain relationships with new clients and contacts.
* Collaborate with the wider IRT team for project delivery and account management.
* Identify new client acquisition opportunities.
* Achieve business delivery targets.
* Develop and manage client relationships.
* Create content for internal and external audiences.
* Present effectively to diverse audiences.
* Gather client feedback for continuous improvement.
* Implement customer communication strategies.
* Conduct market and competitor research.
* Contribute to broader new business strategies.

Candidate Requirements
* Extensive experience in new business development.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Proven track record in managing customer contacts.
* Relevant experience in energy efficiency, building surveying, or decarbonisation.
* Influencing skills and relationship-building at all levels.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Entitlement to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
