A fantastic alternative provision in North Somerset is looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant who loves getting stuck in, staying active, and supporting young people in a hands-on environment. The school uses outdoor learning to help pupils regulate, connect, and re-engage with education, so no two days feel the same.
You don’t need experience to start, just patience, resilience, and a willingness to learn. The team are incredibly supportive, with full training and guidance from day one.
What the role involves
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs through movement and practical tasks
• Joining in with forest school-style sessions, outdoor projects, and team-building activities
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, and communication
• Helping with regulation strategies, from sensory breaks to calming routines
• Being a steady, reliable adult for pupils who really benefit from consistency
• Working closely with a friendly, nurturing staff team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
