Job Description: Voluntary Charity Worker – Youth Outreach and Engagement
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Voluntary Charity Worker to support and work alongside the church youth team in engaging and supporting young people in the community. This voluntary role focuses on assisting with the organization and facilitation of youth events that promote positive thinking, self-development, mental health awareness, and spiritual growth. The role will also involve supporting the planning and execution of youth retreats and conferences. The Charity Worker will work closely with the Senior Pastor and Youth Coordinator to ensure all activities align with the church’s values and mission, fostering a safe and empowering environment for the youth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in organizing and facilitating youth events that focus on positive thinking, personal growth, and mental health awareness.
* Help deliver workshops and activities aimed at encouraging self-development, resilience, and healthy mindsets.
* Support the planning and coordination of youth retreats, conferences, and community outreach programs.
* Assist in leading small group discussions and mentoring sessions, offering support and guidance to youth.
* Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for youth to feel valued and heard.
* Ensure all activities are in alignment with the church’s values, mission, and code of conduct.
* Promote the church’s principles and values through youth-focused initiatives and interactions.
* Work under the guidance of the Senior Pastor and Youth Coordinator to support the spiritual growth of young people.
* Abide by the organization’s safeguarding policies and code of conduct.

Relevant Experience:
* Previous experience working with young people in a voluntary or community-based setting is preferred but not required.
* A genuine interest in youth development, mental health advocacy, and spiritual growth.
* Familiarity with the church’s values and willingness to support its mission.
* No formal qualifications are necessary, but experience in mentoring, organizing events, or leading small groups is beneficial.
* An understanding of safeguarding policies and the importance of creating a safe environment for young people.
