Where will you be working?

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Metering team, where we are the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.
Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.
What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you'll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters. Do you enjoy working independently, chatting with customers, and meeting new people?
Customer service is our top priority. You'll ensure all jobs are completed on time and that our customers understand the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meters. Do you like meeting new people and making a difference in their lives?
On a typical day, you'll complete the installation and removal of SMETS2 smart meters in our customers' homes, doing around 5 jobs per day. Interested in earning extra money? There's an uncapped bonus for any additional jobs you complete.
You will be traveling around your area using your tablet to view your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance.

What you’ll bring
* Valid UK driving license – held for at least 1 year with fewer than 6 points.
* CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
* Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
* Previous MOCOPA experience at a multi-rate level.
If you have additional qualifications like REGT1, 3 phase, or have been registered on the EUSR portal, that’s a plus but not required.
