Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our domiciliary care team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including seniors and those requiring assistance with daily living activities. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The role is part-time, with available shifts from 11:00 to 13:00 and 19:00 to 20:00. You're welcome to select the hours that best suit your availability.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Administer first aid as needed and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare providers.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members.
* Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or patient care is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
* Experience working in a nursing home or hospice care setting is beneficial.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals of all ages, including children if applicable.
* Relevant qualifications will be considered an asset.
