We're currently looking for a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join the team at Crystal Court in Harrogate. What You'll Be Doing
As our Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:
To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises and ensure the efficient laundering of clothes, linens, and other washable items. The role contributes to a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Laundry Duties:
* Collect, sort, and wash laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels).
* Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
* Fold, iron, and store laundered items appropriately.
* Label or identify personal laundry if required.
* Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
* Report any faulty laundry equipment or maintenance issues.
Domestic/Cleaning Duties:
* Clean designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and kitchens.
* Vacuum, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces, and remove rubbish as needed.
* Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
* Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
* Notify supervisor of any hazards or repairs needed in the premises.
