The Job:
An established, privately owned UK engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Sales Director to lead and scale its commercial function. Reporting directly to the owners, this is a key leadership role with full responsibility for driving sales strategy, team performance and revenue growth across both UK and international markets. The business has a strong reputation, an established global presence, and clear opportunity to accelerate growth through a more structured and strategic commercial approach.
Key responsibilities: Developing and delivering the overall commercial and sales strategy Leading and developing the sales team across field, internal and international channels Driving revenue growth across domestic and export markets Expanding and optimising the dealer and distributor network Implementing KPIs, reporting structures and performance management frameworks Improving sales processes, systems and forecasting accuracy Working closely with owners and senior leadership to support business growth Building strong relationships with key customers, partners and dealers The Candidate: Proven experience in a Sales Director / Head of Sales role Background in engineering, manufacturing or capital equipment sectors Strong experience managing dealer or distributor networks Track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales teams Experience operating across UK and international markets Strong leadership and people development skill Commercially astute with strong negotiation capability Comfortable working in an owner:managed environment Able to implement process, structure and scalable growth strategies The Package: Competitive salary GBP 70,000 DOE Company Car Company benefits package Opportunity to shape and lead a growing commercial function
