You’ll play a pivotal role in the business, acting as the right hand to the Director and becoming a key member of the leadership team. This position is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between senior management and the wider engineering team while helping drive both technical excellence and business growth.
The Role:
1. Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors
2. Manage and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development
3. Take ownership of technical delivery and ensure high standards across all projects
4. Work closely with the Director on strategic decisions and team development
5. Play an active role in business development, client engagement, and winning new work

6. A strong technical background across a wide range of projects – from house extensions and basement excavations to large-scale commercial and residential schemes
7. Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring and managing engineers
8. Confidence in client-facing situations and business development activities

10. Ambition to progress into a Director-level role
