Role Description
The candidate will work in the Radiology Department, with the opportunity to rotate through Plain Film, MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology. This role involves assisting patient preparation for their imaging, such as helping them to change and manual handling onto the examination tables. The Radiography Department Assistant will chaperone during examinations (e.g., ultrasound), cannulate, perform basic aseptic technique and clinical observations, stock ordering and cleaning of equipment. They will use hospital IT systems to input and record data. This is an important role supporting the Radiology staff to provide a high quality service in a department with a large number of patients seen each day.
