About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic, data-driven marketing campaigns that drive event registrations, attendance, engagement, sponsorship value, and revenue growth across The Payments Association's events portfolio. This role will lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for our flagship events and awards programmes.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive event registrations, attendance, engagement and revenue.
* Create and execute event marketing strategies for conferences, exhibitions, awards programmes and new event launches.
* Manage end-to-end campaign delivery across email, website, social media, content marketing, digital advertising and partner channels.
* Develop audience acquisition, nurturing and communication strategies for attendees, speakers, sponsors and industry influencers.
* Create compelling marketing content and optimise event websites, registration journeys and conversion performance.
* Analyse campaign performance, manage HubSpot and reporting, and identify opportunities to improve ROI, audience growth and event success.
Qualifications
* Experience developing and executing event marketing strategies that drive registrations, attendance, engagement, and revenue.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and implement optimisation strategies.
* Proficiency in marketing technology platforms, email marketing, marketing automation, and campaign reporting.
* Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot), CMS systems, event registration platforms, and marketing analytics tools.
* Demonstrable experience delivering successful B2B event marketing campaigns.
* Ability to write compelling marketing copy and create engaging content for multiple channels and audiences.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across events, sales, partnerships, content, and commercial teams.
* Ability to translate commercial objectives into effective marketing campaigns and measurable outcomes.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
* Results-driven mindset with a focus on attendee acquisition, revenue generation, and ROI.
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of event marketing disciplines and attendee acquisition strategies.
* Sound knowledge of digital marketing technologies, including email marketing, marketing automation, analytics, PPC, social media, and CMS platforms.
* Understanding of event registration funnels, conversion optimisation, audience segmentation, and customer journey mapping.
* Commercial awareness and experience supporting revenue-generating events.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
