Modern Foreign Languages Teacher Job Title: Modern Foreign Languages Teacher Location: Slough Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Slough to appoint an enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This long-term position runs through to December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. You will be joining a supportive and well-established MFL department, delivering engaging lessons in French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, while fostering students’ language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication. Applications are encouraged from both experienced language teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a genuine passion for international education. About the Role: Design and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons that motivate and challenge learners Differentiate teaching approaches to support diverse learning needs and abilities Promote a classroom culture that values curiosity, respect, and a love of languages Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance Enrich the wider school community through extracurricular language activities, including clubs and educational visits The ideal candidate will: Degree in French, Spanish, or a closely related discipline (essential) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable) Proven experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at Key Stages 3 and 4 Enthusiasm for language teaching and promoting cultural understanding Excellent classroom management and strong communication skills Why Work with Supply Desk?
