At Lupa, we work in partnership with established children’s residential homes across Liverpool, delivering high-quality, experienced leadership when it's needed most. We are currently recruiting Children’s Homes Registered Managers to oversee and lead nurturing, safe, and child-centred residential settings. You will work with providers committed to delivering therapeutic care and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people, many of whom have experienced trauma or complex needs.
As a Registered Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring homes operate in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and best practice while building strong, resilient teams and creating an environment where every child can thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
Taking full operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of a children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Leading, inspiring and developing a skilled team of support workers and seniors
Embedding a strong safeguarding culture and trauma-informed approach throughout the service
Ensuring the home meets and exceeds standards of care, quality, and compliance
Creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected, and supported
Building positive relationships with external professionals, families, and key stakeholders
Driving continuous improvement, reflective practice, and a culture of excellence
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong leadership with real emotional intelligence. Someone who isn’t afraid to challenge, change, and grow — but always keeps the child at the centre.
Essential:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a children's residential setting
At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and relevant legislation
Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop staff
