Electrical Site Manager
About the role
We're supporting a leading contractor on a large residential apartments development and are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join the project on a freelance basis. This role is key to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all electrical works across a busy multi-unit residential scheme.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all on-site electrical activities, managing electricians and subcontractors
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and design information
* Ensure all works are completed to the required quality, compliance, and safety standards
* Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations and maintain strong quality control
* Work closely with the site manager, project manager, and other trade leads to ensure smooth coordination
* Enforce Health & Safety requirements: RAMS, PPE, safe systems of work
* Review testing, commissioning documentation, and ensure compliance with building regulations
* Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and escalate issues where required
* Support snagging, defect resolution, and handover documentation
* Maintain accurate daily/weekly site records, including labour, materials, and progress reports
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an Electrical Site Manager or Electrical Supervisor role
* Proven track record on residential apartment or large-scale accommodation projects
* Valid ECS Gold Card
* SSSTS / SMSTS (preferred for a site manager role)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
