Are you curious about how data drives smart business decisions? This Year in Industry placement offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of commercial strategy and data science. Based in the Commercial Offers team and collaborating closely with our Data Science & Analytics colleagues, you’ll help shape pricing strategies, analyse market trends, and benchmark competitors. You’ll build dashboards, support predictive modelling, and explore machine learning use cases around customer behaviour and pricing. With hands-on experience in tools like Python, Power BI, and SQL, plus exposure to business case development and stakeholder engagement, this placement is perfect for students with strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and a high level of curiosity. You’ll receive full onboarding, mentoring, and opportunities to present your work to senior leaders—setting you up for a future career in data-driven decision-making and digital transformation.

Our Year in Industry Programme is based in Cheltenham, UK at Spirax Sarco, part of our Steam Specialties Business. We have a range of 12-Month placements available for you to experience a full year in:
