The Role
* Major regeneration construction project near Reading valued at £500m. The project involves the construction of several new build commercial buildings.
* Delivering a portfolio of complex building packages valued between £5m-£20m each.
* All packages are being delivered using NEC4 Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the commercial strategy for a section of a major building project from the initial calculations to close out.
* Negotiate with subcontractors, award contracts that achieve estimated costs and project strategy.
* Ongoing management of subcontractors, achieving the required standards and quality.
* NEC contract management, minimising costs and risks, while enhancing value for money.
* Negotiate and submit claims, variations and compensation events.
* Prepare commercial progress and financial reconciliation reports.
* Interface with the customer and project team stakeholders to deliver their commercial requirements.
What We're looking For
* Our client is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.
* You will have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience across any construction sector for a main contractor, subcontractor, or consultancy.
* Must have experience of delivering NEC contracts, including the delivery of change management activities such as early warning notices and compensation events.
* Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree desirable.
