Job Title: Reporting Engineer
Duration: 6 months+
Workload: Full-time hours
Setup: Hourly rate PAYE contracting inside IR35
Rate: £44.50 p / hour with holiday pay and pension on top
Location: Warrington (3 days onsite) with travel to Cumbria
We’re looking for Reporting Engineers to design and deliver data-driven reporting solutions that turn complex project data into actionable insights within a Project Controls environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain reporting systems, databases, and dashboards
* Analyse complex datasets to produce clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
* Develop visualisations using Power BI and other reporting tools
* Create project control outputs such as Gantt charts, S-curves, and manpower histograms
* Collaborate with engineering, PMO, and data teams to define reporting requirements
* Optimise reporting solutions for performance, accuracy, and usability
* Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to reporting systems
Must-Have Skills:
* Strong Power BI expertise and advanced Excel skills
* Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
* Experience in Project Controls / PMO environments (Energy sector preferred)
* Ability to develop dashboards, visualisations, and reporting frameworks
* Solid understanding of baseline management and project reporting metrics
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, or similar platforms
* PMP or equivalent certification
* Experience across Oil & Gas, Nuclear, or Renewables
* UK Security Clearance (or eligibility)
