We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well‑established automotive business based in Bridgwater. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, workshop‑based and offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience. You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and professional team committed to high standards of workmanship and customer service.
The position is varied and hands‑on. You will maintain high quality results by working efficiently, ensuring accuracy, and keeping vehicles at the highest standards. You will also support the team by sharing knowledge and assisting in the development of junior technicians and apprentices, so teamwork and continuous improvement are essential.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
* Carry out vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Conduct MOT tests and ensure vehicles meet all legal requirements.
* Provide clear and accurate reports on work completed and any additional work needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.
* Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair methods.
* Support and mentor less experienced technicians and apprentices.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician in a professional garage environment.
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
* Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
* Experience using a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment.Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* A reliable, proactive, and positive approach to work.
* A full UK driving licence.
