Overview
Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic team in a borough just outside the heart of London. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to work within a supportive community dedicated to making a real difference. Salary range: £41,097.00 to £49,119.00 per year.
Responsibilities
* Conduct specialist needs assessments, such as Single Assessments and Children in Need evaluations, ensuring comprehensive and child-centred care plans are developed.
* Prepare detailed care and support plans, addressing a wide range of needs including health, education, transitions, respite, and family support.
* Regularly review care packages, budgets, personal/direct payments, and transitions, ensuring all arrangements meet the current needs of the child.
* Coordinate effectively with multi-agency partners, including education and health services, ensuring cohesive and integrated support for each child.
* Actively participate in meetings such as Team Around the Child and EHCP reviews to ensure excellent communication and planning.
* Engage directly with children using suitable communication techniques, advocating strongly for their needs and the voices of their carers.
* Support families through safeguarding and legal processes, ensuring compliance with statutory duties including the Children Act 1989 and the Equality Act 2010.
Requirements
* Experience as a Social Worker within a relevant setting; applications from Newly Qualified, Social Worker, Practitioner, Assistant Team Manager, Team Manager, Head of Service or Director are welcomed.
* Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and engage with children and families in a sensitive and professional manner.
