If your answer to these questions is yes, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly created post to work as a research assistant within the diabetes, metabolic and endocrine research team. We are looking for someone with relevant clinical experience and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
1. Assist the nursing team in caring for participants taking part in clinical trials
2. Carry out clinical observations, ECGs, phlebotomy with supervision from a registered nurse
3. Be a first point of contact for participants of trials
4. Discuss the study with potential participants and obtain consent for simple trials
5. Assist with lab sampling, packaging, and sending of samples
6. Enter clinical data into relevant databases
7. Assist the research team with administrative tasks
