The Buyer role will support the Supply Chain Management by providing a professional, efficient and customer focused purchasing service. Responsibilities:Administer and monitor the MRP systemMonitor stocks levelsProcess Sales OrdersRaising purchase ordersThe processing and rectification of material non-complianceUpdate the system with current exchange rates for oversees purchasesRun overdue reports and follow up with suppliersEnsure that Products and services purchased are at cost effective rates Ensure material is available to suit assembly and packing requirementsObtain accurate pricing for Projects/ MaterialsTo Liaise with Engineering to ensure the correct drawings are sent for manufacture/quotingIdentify more cost effective and/or second sources of supplyIdeal Person:Experience of purchasing in an engineering environment desired but not essentialKnowledge of ERP software databasesExperience of an MRP purchasing system.License RequirementsKnowledge of LEAN principlesPrior experience within Purchasing/BuyingCIPS desired but not essentialOther roles you may have applied for: Senior Buyer, Procurement Assistant, Supply Chain, Purchasing AssistantCherry Professional is recruiting...
