National Grid is hiring a CNI Engineer to technically manage and facilitate the maintenance and delivery of property building services to Data Centre Tier standards, at National Grid CNI (Critical National Infrastructure) sites.
The role is based on-site in Warwick with travel to other sites and involves working closely with an outsourced specialist Hard FM Contractor.
Due to the travelling incolved you will need a full UK driving licence for the role.

What you'll do
1. Technically oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive Maintenance work.
2. Technically manage projects to improve and/or replace CNI assets
3. Facilitate access and internal stakeholder approval of work in business-sensitive and secure CNI work areas.
4. Act as main internal interface with National Grid's IT teams and other relevant stakeholders.
5. Support work to ensure the reliability and availability of critical power supplies and air conditioning systems.
6. Support work to ensure the continuous operation and resilience of site services to maintain uninterrupted, robust, safe, compliant and efficient support of National Grid, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) systems.
7. Support monitoring of CNI asset condition.
8. Support a continuous improvement to maintain Data Centre Tier level standards across the CNI systems.
9. Be an in-house Subject Matter Expert on Building Services Critical Systems.
10. As part of rota, undertake Duty Property Manager role as the single point of escalation for incidents outside of hours.
What you'll need
11. Strong Electrical and Mechanical Engineering background.
12. Demonstrable practical experience in Critical Environments including an understanding of the impact of potential loss of critical systems within a business.
13. Experience of delivering PPM and reactive maintenance work.
14. Experience working with supply chain teams in a CNI operational environment and an ability to interpret contractual requirements in the delivery of these works.
15. Experience of reporting to stakeholders at all levels including Senior Management under incident conditions.
16. Experience in Contractor audits and assurance.
17. Experience in Change Control Systems and the purpose of their implementation and use of e-permits.
18. Understanding of Permits to Work and Safe Systems of Work.
19. Understanding of safety and compliance requirements working in a building services environment.
20. Awareness of Data Centre Tier level standards, continuous improvement ways of working, and business continuity planning.
21. Educated to HNC level in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or have City and Guilds Electrical certification to level 3 (An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience meeting these demands will be considered)
22. Experience and understanding of requirements working to Data Centre Tier standards.
23. Industry qualification in safety management (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH).
24. You must have, or be willing to undertake, National Security Vetting.

A competitive salary between £54,090 - £63,940 – dependent on capability.
