Overview
The Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of care provided to patients within their area. They collaborate with various departments to improve patient outcomes, demonstrate professional leadership, and work independently to meet clinical and satisfaction goals. The role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, supporting business growth, and supervising clinical staff.
Responsibilities
1. Participate in quality improvement meetings, review data, and implement improvement plans.
2. Collaborate on quality activities and corrective actions with the Branch Director.
3. Provide feedback on care provision to Operations management.
4. Ensure clinical staff complete orientation and required training.
5. Manage responses to surveys and audits related to care quality and KPIs.
6. Understand payer requirements and documentation guidelines.
7. Review documentation to identify variances and areas for improvement.
8. Hold case conferences to coordinate care and ensure standards are met.
9. Maintain documentation standards to support quality and reimbursement.
10. Coordinate patient care with involved parties.
11. Develop and oversee performance improvement plans based on data.
12. Hire, evaluate, and supervise clinical staff, ensuring competency and performance.
13. Serve as a resource and mentor for staff, including training preceptors.
14. Perform additional duties such as patient visits and on-call responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree preferred in Nursing or Physical Therapy.
* Licensed RN or PT in good standing, licensed in the state.
* Less than two years of clinical experience, with at least one year in management/supervisory role in home health care.
* Current CPR certification.
* Meet all agency pre-employment requirements.
* Proficient in documentation systems and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Handle highly confidential information responsibly.
