Role Overview
The Healthcare Support Worker will assist the registered nurse in the delivery of care to patients within the clinical area. The post holder will work under indirect supervision of the registered nurse and will undertake tasks and duties delegated to them, which are within the scope of this job description. They will work collaboratively within the clinical area to meet the needs of patients and their families, following Group policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Assist the registered nurse in the delivery of patient care.
* Undertake tasks and duties delegated within the scope of the job.
* Collaboratively work within the clinical area to meet patient and family needs, following Group policies and procedures.
* Provide essential hygiene tasks.
* Conduct pressure area care.
* Support patients with nutrition and hydration.
* Assist with mobility and prevent falls.
* Support patients with toileting.
