Overview Our client, a leading venture capital firm based in central London are looking for a Fund Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, responsible for managing the quarterly reporting, and general fund operations. This role is a 6 months paternity cover to start early March 2026.
Description The duties and responsibilities for this Temporary Fund & Portfolio Accountant role include, but are not limited to: Contribute to fund accounting operations, including the preparation and calculation of financial and operating metrics.
Support quarterly reporting processes and review annual tax filings where applicable.
Ensure financial regulatory reporting complies with relevant local and international frameworks, fund LPAs, and accounting standards.
Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, legal advisers, banks, and fund administrators.
Support the preparation of capital calls and distributions, including drafting and issuing related investor communications.
Monitor fund cash positions and liquidity.
Produce valuation and accounting reports, contributing to portfolio monitoring and investment valuations.
Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
Skills The skills and experience required for this Temporary Fund & Portfolio Accountant role include, but are not limited to: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) ideally from Big 4.
Relevant experience in fund accounting.
High proficiency in Excel.
Experience working in Venture Capital is desirable.
Excellent communicator, experience of working with third parties.
Strong attention to detail.
