The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Fire and Security Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of fire and security systems. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a proactive attitude, and a genuine dedication to delivering outstanding service.
Salary - Negotiable, based on real-world experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers
* Perform routine inspections and ensure systems meet compliance standards
* Diagnose and repair faults efficiently
* Provide technical support to clients and colleagues
* Keep accurate service records and documentation
* Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
* Stay current with industry standards and technologies
* Participate in emergency on-call rota
* Travel occasionally to support clients nationwide
Requirements
* Proven experience in fire and security systems
* Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers
* Electrical/electronic engineering qualifications
* FIA or BAFE certification (preferred)
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Able to work independently and in a team
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
* Customer-focused with a proactive attitude
Desirable Extras
* Experience with GENT Fire systems
* Fault-finding skills for gates and barriers
* IPAF and ECS certifications
