You’re not looking for an easy job. You’re looking for a role where your leadership matters. A role where you can shape culture, drive standards, and create a service that delivers real outcomes for residents and families.
We’re searching for an experienced Home Manager to take the helm of a 33-bed residential and respite service, commutable from Dumfries, that specialises in supporting older adults, including those living with dementia.
This is a home with solid foundations — a dedicated team, loyal families, and a commitment to quality. But the next chapter is about raising the bar: embedding strong leadership, consistency, and a culture of excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading from the front – inspiring, coaching, and developing your team to deliver consistently outstanding care.
* Driving operational performance – ensuring the home meets and exceeds regulatory standards, quality metrics, and occupancy goals.
* Owning compliance – maintaining excellent CQC standards and embedding governance into daily practice.
* Managing budgets and resources – balancing clinical quality with financial sustainability.
* Building relationships – with residents, families, your team, and external professionals — creating a home people are proud to be part of.
* Championing wellbeing and dignity – ensuring every resident receives person-centred care that enriches their life.
What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an elderly care setting (residential, nursing, or dementia care).
* A deep understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
* Strong leadership and communication skills — you inspire confidence and bring out the best in people.
* Commercial awareness — you know how to manage budgets, occupancy, and resources effectively.
* A current NMC registration (RGN/RMN) is preferred but not essential; outstanding non-clinical leaders will be considered.
* A genuine passion for improving lives — with the drive and discipline to make it happen every day.
Why This Role Matters:
This isn’t just about managing a home. It’s about owning the mission — creating an environment where residents thrive, families feel reassured, and teams are proud of what they do.
If you’re ready to lead with purpose, bring a high-performance mindset to social care, and make a measurable difference, we’d love to talk.
