Role in brief: The role supports shaping how the firm shows up in the market, ensuring our brand voice is consistently applied across all channels including the corporate and employer brands while helping us secure visibility in key markets.
Location: Hybrid working from Bristol, Exeter, or Southampton. Team: Marketing & Communications. Working pattern: Full-time.

What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll focus on:
* Copywriting & content
* Write engaging, high-quality content across multiple formats including articles, thought leadership, reports, brochures, campaign collateral, pitches, web copy, event invites, newsletters, and social media.
* Ensure all content reflects the firm’s tone of voice and adheres to brand style guidelines.
* Work with lawyers and business teams to translate complex ideas into accessible, impactful copy.
* Optimise articles and digital content for SEO to ensure visibility and ranking in key areas of expertise.
* Review, edit, and proofread all marketing materials to maintain consistency, clarity, and impact.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s tone of voice and style guide.
* PR & media relations
* Support the delivery of the firm’s PR strategy alongside our national PR agency.
* Take ownership of regional PR activity, ensuring the firm builds its presence and reputation within our key regional markets.
* Draft press releases and media pitches for deal announcements to highlight premium work, and support their distribution on firm channels including website and social media.
* Build strong relationships with regional media outlets.
* Monitor media coverage and maintain reporting to track impact.
* Other responsibilities
* Willingness to take on additional tasks or projects as requested by the line manager to support the wider team.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who brings creativity and rigour, with a flair for storytelling and a strong understanding of what makes communications land effectively. You will bring:
* Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a genuine passion for language.
* Proven experience in copywriting, journalism, PR, or a similar communications role.
* Ability to craft compelling content for different audiences and channels.
* Understanding of SEO and how to write content that performs in search rankings.
* Experience working with press and managing media enquiries.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and translating technical/legal content into client-friendly messaging.
Bonus skills:
* Experience in professional services, legal, or corporate B2B communications.
* Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics.
* Understanding of digital content trends and multimedia storytelling.
