Key Responsibilities
*
Accurately prepare cost estimates for structural and architectural steelwork projects from tender to submission
*
Analyse drawings, specifications and client requirements to produce comprehensive costings
*
Liaise with clients, engineers, and internal teams to ensure clarity on project scope
*
Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors and negotiate effectively
*
Identify commercial risks and opportunities within each tender
*
Prepare and present detailed pricing documents and reports
The Ideal Candidate
*
Proven experience as an Estimator within the structural or architectural steel industry
*
Strong technical knowledge of steelwork, including ability to read engineering drawings
*
Commercially aware with a strong grasp of contract terms, procurement and costing
*
Able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, working to tight deadlines
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
