Day Rate: Up to £225 per day (dependent on experience)The RoleHays are seeking an experienced Interim Audit Senior to support an established Audit team on an initial contract of up to 12 months. Reporting to the Director, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day planning, organisation and delivery of audit assignments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical audit experience, the ability to manage a portfolio of clients, and confidence working in a fast‑paced professional practice environment.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Management
1. Manage a portfolio of audit clients
2. Support fellow auditors and Directors through thepliance process
3. Maintain strong client relationships via telephone, email, online meetings and face‑to‑face contact where appropriate
4. Build rapport to clearly understand client expectations and deliver high levels of service
Audit Delivery
5. Plan, prepare and finalise audit assignments
6. Liaise with other service lines where clients receive multi‑disciplinary services
7. Apply current legislation and professional standards accurately
8. Identify planning opportunities and escalate advisory or cross‑sell opportunities where appropriate
Risk &pliance
9. Adhere to the firm’s client take‑on and risk management procedures
10. Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues to the Director as required
11. Maintain strong awareness of professional standards, ethics andpliance requirements
Technical & Team Support
12. Keep technical knowledge up to date
13. Support and coach team members to ensure accurate and timelypletion of work
14. Contribute positively to team performance and wellbeing
Operations
15. Take responsibility for invoicing and accurate record‑keeping for your portfolio
16. Monitor and manage own time,pleting timesheets accurately
Skills & Experience
17. ACCA or ACA qualified
18. Minimum of 3 years’ experience within professional practice
19. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
20. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
21. Confident in a technology‑driven environment
