Research Support Officer in Micro-oleogelation

Do you have an interest in working with a collaborative research team and want to use your food science laboratory skills and experience to support research and assist our academic staff in delivering an excellent research experience?
We are seeking a Research Support Officer to join our team working on a British Council-Israel ISPF Grant, focusing on characterizing the rheological and tribological performance of micro-oleogels and testing them under various variables.
As a Research Support Officer supporting this project, you will characterize a range of micro-oleogels created using alternative proteins. You will also maintain communications relevant to the research activities, uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments, and keep accurate records of all activities and periodic reports for the project team under supervision from researchers.
You should have a BSc degree in Sciences with laboratory experience in oral tribological measurements and quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring (QCM-D), including coating sensors with polymers such as Ecoflex and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Experience working within a research environment, good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with people from diverse scientific or technical backgrounds are essential.
