Tieback Engineer – Offshore Gas Development (UK & Australia) Initial 5-month contract Start Date: ASAP Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tieback Engineer to support a major offshore gas field development project located in waters off the coast of Australia. The project is operated by a leading energy company on behalf of a joint venture partnership and involves the integration of a new Not Normally Manned (NNM) platform with an existing floating LNG facility. Project Highlights: Offshore gas field in ~170m water depth Linked to an operational floating LNG facility Development includes a fixed jacket NNM platform with five dry tree wells Multiphase export pipeline and brownfield modifications at the LNG facility Fibre optic communications integrated with regional subsea infrastructure Role Responsibilities: Lead and support offshore tieback operations for the completion phase of the wells Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure readiness for platform installation and well tieback Participate in equipment inspections and preparations in Australia (December–January) Offshore rotations expected from mid-February (two rotations of 3–4 weeks) Oversee removal of suspension caps, tieback of subsea wellheads, installation of upper completions, and well clean-up operations Key Requirements: Proven experience in offshore tieback operations, ideally having led previous campaigns Strong understanding of subsea well suspension and completion strategies Availability to begin supporting project reviews immediately Willingness to travel to Australia for pre-deployment activities and offshore rotations Excellent communication and coordination skills Contract Details: Competitive day rate (negotiable based on experience) Travel and accommodation provided Opportunity to work on a technically advanced and high-profile offshore development
