The Role As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students build confidence, develop emotional resilience, and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEMH needs Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress Implementing effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Supporting students to develop emotional regulation and coping skills Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and wider support teams Creating a safe, consistent, and nurturing learning environment Encouraging positive behaviour, attendance, and participation in learning About You The ideal candidate will: Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural, or additional needs Be calm, resilient, and confident when managing challenging behaviour Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills Have a proactive and positive approach to supporting vulnerable learners Be passionate about making a lasting impact on students' educational journeys Understand behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches Why Join Protocol Education?
