The Role A key role within IMG’s Sports Management team suitable for a driven, dynamic individual with a passion for sport and strong appetite for working to support the success of some of IMG’s most important clients. The role will primarily focus on supporting key golf accounts, including The R&A and European Tour Group, and British Cycling and Rugby League, two important Strategic Partners within IMG’s portfolio. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Responsible for supporting the Sports Management team primarily across Golf, Rugby League and British Cycling with a variety of tasks across the IMG sports portfolio to achieve the departments’ objective of creating best in class client servicing. Assist in the day-to-day management of tasks across the Sports Management accounts – working with the relevant Account Managers, Account Director and Vice President. Developing clear and concise internal and external presentations/reports – pre and post event. Ensuring internal systems and tools such as Stadium and Legal Online are up-to-date and accurate. Assist in contract management and the creation of rights audits. Assist in broadcaster management across key client accounts. Assist and track the progress of key initiatives to be delivered by the team within Sports Management. Assist in the creation of key client presentations and documentation. Assist in the creation of sales collateral and market reports/ playbooks as required by the business and clients. Assist with arranging meetings and the creation of detailed notes to summarise and distribute internally and externally. Work with multiple areas of the business on a day-to-day basis including – commercial, new business, finance, legal, creative, strategy, production, distribution, digital, brand partnerships and others. Attend events on an ad-hoc basis to support with a multitude of tasks. To learn and develop expert-level operational skills across our golf client portfolio to ensure all accounts are optimised to deliver against key business objectives. Some travel to client events may be required, which may be during weekends. You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job. Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of the media industry Knowledge of the golf industry Ability to learn and closely follow business practices, resources and personnel within IMG Media Good commercial acumen Numerate and analytical in order to understand and interpret data. Ability to present at all levels both internally and externally. Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them. Experience of working in sports/entertainment media Skills and Abilities Very strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent relationship building and networking skills Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines Team player and a self-starter Committed to client service excellence and quality business relationships Organisational skills that enable the individual to prioritise a varied work-load. Priorities will often change to dictate focus of work – the candidate must have the ability to handle competing demands and last-minute changes effectively Excellent knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
