You will be responsible for piloting and supporting the operation of Work-Class Remotely Operated Vehicles (WROVs) from the Boskalis Remote Operations Centre (ROC). Operating via secure real-time control systems, the role contributes to safe and effective offshore subsea operations including inspection, intervention, survey, and tooling support. The Pilot Technician works collaboratively with offshore vessel crews, ROC Supervisors, and technical teams to execute assigned tasks within defined parameters, ensuring compliance with Boskalis Subsea Services’ safety, quality, and operational standards. As an entry-level position aligned to IMCA C005 Job Category R05 (Remote Pilot Grade II), this is a safety-critical role requiring validated competence and continuous professional development through the company’s Competence Management Scheme. Your responsibilities as a ROC ROV Pilot Technician: The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to; Pilot and control remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) from the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) using approved digital control systems and interfaces. Execute assigned subsea tasks including inspection, survey, observation, and light intervention activities under the direction of the ROC ROV Supervisor. Monitor ROV system performance, data feeds, and sensor outputs to ensure accurate navigation, tether management, and mission execution. Conduct pre-dive checks, simulations, and post-task system diagnostics in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. Support offshore and ROC-based personnel in the remote fault diagnosis and basic troubleshooting of ROV systems and tooling. Maintain clear and effective communication with offshore crews, ROC colleagues, and client representatives to coordinate operations in real time. Ensure accurate and timely completion of dive logs, reports, video recordings, and data entry in line with project and audit requirements.
