Learning Support Assistant – Colchester Do you have a passion for making a difference in a child’s life? We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide one-to-one support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school in Colchester. This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Pay rate: £13.67 – £15 per hour What you’ll be doing: Providing one-to-one support to a child with SEN, helping them engage with learning and classroom activities Supporting emotional and social development, ensuring the child feels safe, valued, and included Adapting teaching materials and approaches to meet individual needs, under the guidance of the class teacher Assisting with classroom management and promoting a calm, positive learning environment Encouraging independence and developing problem-solving, communication, and social skills Working closely with teachers, the SENCo, and parents to monitor progress and well-being What we’re looking for: Experience supporting children (SEN experience desirable but not essential) A patient, caring, and approachable personality Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive, adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is desirable, but not essential Why join Protocol Education?
