About the Role
A new opportunity for a talented and student‑focused Lecturer – Brickwork to join our Construction & Motor Vehicle team on a part‑time hourly paid basis. The role involves teaching across the Brickwork and Groundworks provision, from Entry Level to Level 3. The successful candidate will develop the Brickwork curriculum and build employer relationships to support industry placements.
The role will be primarily based at our Accrington & Rossendale College campus, however travel across sites may be required. This post may suit an experienced practitioner, a newly qualified teacher, or a trainee teacher seeking support with their teaching qualification.
Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare high‑quality teaching to the required hours.
* Develop and share resources for the course/subject, maintaining effective college‑wide links.
* Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
* Maintain comprehensive and up‑to‑date student/course/subject records and provide information when requested.
* Administer exam entries for the course/subject and liaise with external awarding bodies as appropriate.
Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Degree or higher‑level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification.
* Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment).
* Assessor and Verifier qualifications.
