We have an exciting position available for Senior Building Safety Manager to join us!
As the Senior Building Safety Manager, you will lead the delivery of our building safety requirements across our portfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings and other in-scope buildings.
You will have responsibility for developing and managing building safety policies, procedures, systems and financial requirements as well as effectively leading the Building Safety Team and engaging with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure compliance with fire and building safety legislative and regulatory requirements.
This is a strategic role where you will be accountable to the Building Safety Steering Group and our Leadership Team.
What were looking for:
* Ideally worked in the Social Housing sector within Building Safety.
* Extensive and demonstratable experience of Building Safety with exposure to fire safety, structural compliance and health and safety.
* Hold a relevant professional qualification in construction, fire or health and safety.
* Experience of leading / managing hybrid Teams to effectively delivery building and fire safety roles.
* Applied understanding of UK building / fire safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
* Practical working knowledge and experience of building structures and construction, building safety inspections, fire strategies / management plans, fire safety and associated risk management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and identifying and developing new systems i.e. C365, RiskFlag or similar.
* Full UK driving license required.
